Pickleplex: Bringing Pickleball to Life in Barrie, Ontario

The Pickleplex brand launched with the exciting debut of its first location in Barrie, Ontario. In collaboration with ownership partners Justin Farbstein and Steven Fry, the ANT Group transformed an empty department store into a vibrant pickleball destination, maximizing space to accommodate as many courts as possible.

The vision included courts, restrooms, a check-in counter, a party room, a few lockers, and a retail area. We exceeded expectations by adding an additional, cozy party room, perfect for smaller events and gatherings.

Our partnership with Steve and Justin led to several innovative concepts, such as creating an inviting check-in and café area by lowering the ceiling for a more welcoming experience. Additionally, we negotiated the use of parking lot space for overflow courts, ensuring ample room for tournaments and sunny day play.
