Our challenge was re-imagining an existing restaurant into a brewery with 80 taps, and two “food truck” kitchens with a communal feel in Newport Beach, CA. We also had to solve for the lack of exposure with the restaurant set back from the street over 200 feet. Our solution was both streamlined and sophisticated, while at the same time cost-effective. The interior space is relaxed, using simple materials like polished concrete and plywood walls with corrugated metal paneling at the bar. We added to the look with the use of some simple LED strip lighting and custom stylized logo tabletops and lots of TVs. The exterior was updated and included stripped “glow walls” to attract attention along with the addition of a patio and rollup garage style doors for the indoor-outdoor drinking and dining experience.
